Simultaneous raids at 20 places have been conducted in four cities -- Bangalore, Bhopal, Mumbai and Delhi. The bribe amount of Rs 50 lakhs has also been recovered.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case of alleged bribery against SK Jain, CMD Syndicate Bank , an official said on Saturday.

The allegations refer to the CMD for asking bribe to extend credit facilities to certain companies.

Simultaneous raids at 20 places have been conducted in four cities -- Bangalore, Bhopal, Mumbai and Delhi. The bribe amount of Rs 50 lakhs has also been recovered.

Searches so far have led to recoveries of several asset papers and incriminating documents, said the official, adding that further investigation is going on.
