Sasken Communication Technologies wins arbitration award against Spreadtrum Communications Inc. for which the latter is directed to pay USD 31.7 million within 30 days and further continue to pay royalties on ongoing basis.
Spreadtrum Comm stopped paying royalties January onwards but will continue to pay the same here on. However, the amount cannot be quantified, says Rajiv Mody, Chairman and CEO, Sasken Comm in an interview with CNBC-TV18.
"This award is a vindication of the years of pioneering work that Sasken has done in the area of mobility and protocol stacks," says Mody.
