Tata Motors group global wholesales in November declined 5 percent year-on-year to 1,02,337 units, amid sluggish demand for passenger cars and medium and heavy trucks, especially in India.
The company sold 49,248 commercial vehicles last month, including that at Tata, Tata-Daewoo and Tata Hispano Carrocera, a little lower than 49,724 units sold a year ago. Its passenger vehicle sales were down 9 percent to 53,089 units.
It sold 18,440 Tata passenger vehicles in November. Last year, Tata passenger vehicle sales were at 29,121 units, which also included Fiat cars distributed in India.
Tata Motors and Fiat ended their distribution agreement in May this year.
Meanwhile, global wholesales for its British Jaguar Land Rover unit were at 34,649 units last month, up from 29,183 units a year ago. It sold 6,260 Jaguars and 28,389 Land Rovers last month.
So far this fiscal, Tata Motors has sold 7,82,043 vehicles.
